Immortal Beloved

Chamber Music Tulsa’s ambitious Beethoven Winter Festival opens with its first (advance) event on Monday, October 17, at 7:30pm at Circle Cinema with a showing of Director Bernard Rose’s 1995 film “Immortal Beloved,” starring Gary Oldman and Isabella Rossellini.

The film begins with Beethoven’s death then, through a series of flashbacks, tries to discover the identity of a mystery woman Beethoven called his “immortal beloved.” Along the way the viewer experiences stunning cinematography, formidable acting and Beethoven’s powerful music. Tickets are $9.50 for adults.
Pre-Film Lecture – Composer and educator Noam Faingold will present a pre-film lecture titled “Beethoven in Film,” in the Circle Cinema lobby at 6:30 pm. The lecture is free and open to the public.  Facebook Event!
