The Hip to the Music series continues with a fabulous evening of performances of extremely rare Punk & New Wave interviews from the NBC late nite series The Tomorrow Show. The evening will include performances and interviews from:

Elvis Costello & the Attractions

Iggy Pop

The Plasmatics / with Wendy O Williams

Patti Smith

John Lydon

The Ramones

These shows are fun & spontaneous as you never know what Tom Snyder will ask. The performances are first rate. The interviews with Patti Smith and John Lydon are not to be missed. When the Plasmatics perform Final Plan, Wendy O Williams takes out her sledge hammer and smashes up a car right on stage. Then she finishes it off by blowing it up right on TV, this is a performance you will not soon forget.

The Tomorrow Show with Tom Snyder ran from October 1973-January 1982. As the Punk and New wave music emerged in the late 1970’s, The Tomorrow Show welcomed many of its key figures. These appearances included performances as well as interviews. Snyder, admittedly blissfully ignorant to the music, was at times out of his element. Whether Tom Snyder got it or not he left us these seminal performances by many of the genres’ early legends.

Join us early for some rare music video clips as always.
